If you are outgoing, achievement oriented, and love engaging with the community this is the perfect opportunity for you! On behalf of our client, Noor Staffing Group is currently seeking aField Data Collector to work at Philadelphia International Airport.
As a Field Data Collector, you will distribute and collect surveys from a sample of flights for a total assigned monthly target of 155 surveys yielding a total of about 135 completed surveys per month. The survey is a self-administered, 15-minute questionnaire. The same questionnaire is provided to both US residents and non-residents, including passengers whose first language is other than English (foreign language surveys will be provided).
The pay rate for this position is $19-20/hour plus, earn an extra $5/hour bonus if monthly objectives are met for all hours worked during each month.
This is a part-time position, up to 6 days per month, 5-8 hours per day at the airport, and some administrative time pre and post airport.
Access to your own reliable transportation is highly recommended (we can only reimburse for parking, and do not cover other transportation time/expenses).Public transportation is challenging with supplies needed (A roller bag/suitcase is highly recommended).
About the Survey of International Air Travelers (SIAT)
TheSurvey of International Air Travelers (SIAT)is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO). The purpose of this project is to meet the growing need for information on the volume, characteristics, and travel patterns of international air travelers to and from the United States. The SIAT is an ongoing program that was started in 1983. Data is collected on a monthly basis. The program is currently operational at 29 US gateways, in addition to the In-Flight program which collects data onboard several airlines. PHL is one of 29 US gateways participating in the SIAT program.This is an on-going monthly program currently contracted for data collection. We expect to renew this project yearly. The SIAT program has been renewed continuously since 1983.
Responsibilities of a Field Data Collector:
- Distribute and collect surveys from a sample of flights for a total assigned monthly quota of 135 completed surveys per month with a target rate of +155 surveys submitted.
- Engage with the passengers who are departing on assigned international flights.
- The survey is a self-administered, 15-minute questionnaire. The same questionnaire is provided to both US residents and non-residents, including passengers whose first language is other than English (foreign language surveys will be provided)
- Field staff will arrive at the departure gate 2 hours prior to departure time to begin distributing surveys
- Encourage air travelers to participate in the survey
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old
- Strong customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy
- Capability to work independently
- Survey administration experience preferred
- Aptitude to engage with the community
- COVID vaccination is encouraged but not required
- Proficient in using a smart phone and taking photos of flight board

- Delivery of supplies may require that you be able to lift or manage packages (25-35 lbs. for PHL). Regular working hours at the airport would only require the ability to lift/carry/pull objects 5-10 lbs. (You will not need to be carrying all the supplies to the airport)
- Occasionally reach and lift lightweight objects and small electronics up to 5-10 lbs.
- Stand on your feet and walk around the airport for the majority of your shift
- Exposure to various environments, as might be expected in a surveyor/data collection role
- Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening and fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking
