Description:

Youth Inspector

On behalf of our client, Noor Staffing Group is currently seeking Youth Inspectors in Eau Clare and the North West Region of WI. Our client is currently working with the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, Bureau of Commercial Tobacco Prevention and Treatment Program, on an important study called the 2026 Retail Tobacco Compliance Check Survey throughout Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services has contracted with our client to carry out this survey to monitor the sale of tobacco products to minors. Federal law forbids the sale of tobacco products to anyone under the age of 21. We are recruiting 17- to 20-year-old individuals to work on a project to see how often stores sell tobacco products to underage individuals. The project will involve traveling in teams to selected business sites and making an attempt to purchase tobacco products. Each team will consist of one adult driver/supervisor and two youth inspectors. Prior to beginning the project, all participants will be required to attend a 2-hour paid training session with the adult supervisor. The youth inspectors will be working part-time (less than 40 hours per week) for about three to five weeks. This survey project is mandated by federal law, Section 1926 of the Public Health Service Act, authorized by the state of Wisconsin.

This is where we need your help! We are seeking youth, ages 17-20, to work as part of a survey team. You will receive paid training on survey protocol, travel with your adult supervisor to between 30 and 110 preassigned locations (such as gas stations, restaurants, supper clubs, etc.), in counties near you. Pay for this position is $17 per hour plus meals for day-long activities.

Responsibilities of a Youth Inspector:
- Be available to work during the entire month of June and early July until locations are completed.
- Be organized, detailed oriented and ready on time for scheduled shifts
- At each location, the youth inspectors will attempt to purchase tobacco products and then return to the car, where the adult supervisor will fill out a brief survey form. Then they will travel to the next destination. Youth inspectors always enter locations in pairs.
